Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 August 2026

This policy explains what data POS Pakistan ("we", "our", "the Company") collects when you use our point-of-sale software, hardware, and services, and how we handle it. It applies to our website at https://pospakistan.com and to the POS Pakistan software itself. Contact us at sales@pospakistan.com for any privacy question.

1. Data we collect

Account and contact data

When you register or request a demo, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email, business address, and billing details. We use this to set up your account, invoice you, and provide support.

Business and sales data

The POS software processes sales transactions: items sold, prices, discounts, tax amounts, payment method, and invoice records. This data belongs to your business. We process it to run the software (reporting, inventory, FBR transmission) and to provide you access to it.

Device and technical data

We collect basic technical information needed for the software to work: device identifiers, software version, and diagnostic information when an error occurs.

2. What we do not collect

  • Full card numbers. Card payments are handled by licensed payment providers (JazzCash, Easypaisa, card networks and their acquiring banks) under their own security and privacy frameworks. We only receive the outcome and reference of a payment.
  • Customer phone lists or marketing contact lists from your business, unless you explicitly provide them for a service you have subscribed to.

3. How we use your data

  • To operate the POS software: billing, reporting, inventory, and syncing across branches.
  • To transmit sales records to the FBR and provincial tax authorities as required by law, exactly as configured for your tax registration.
  • To invoice you and collect payment for subscriptions and hardware.
  • To provide support, maintenance, and security updates.
  • To contact you about your account or service changes. We do not sell your data, and we do not market your business data to third parties.

4. Legal and regulatory disclosures

We disclose data to the FBR and provincial revenue authorities (PRA, SRB, KPRA, BRA) as required for digital invoicing and sales tax compliance. We may also disclose data where a court or regulator compels us to, or to protect our legal rights. We will not otherwise share your sales data with third parties except processors who help us operate the service (for example, hosting and payment providers) under data-protection terms.

5. Security and retention

Sales records are kept for as long as required by Pakistan tax law (typically five years for business records) plus a reasonable operational period, and longer only where law requires. Account data is kept while your account is active and for the period required to comply with our tax and audit obligations. We use encryption in transit, access controls on staff accounts, and production data is not used for testing or development.

6. Your data, your business

You own your sales and business data. You can export your full transaction history at any time, and we will provide it to you on request. If you close your account, you can request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations under Pakistan law.

7. Contact and changes
